Hakata Traditional Performing Arts Center
博多伝統芸能館
The Hakata Traditional Performing Arts Centre is a venue for visitors to enjoy various traditional performances unique to the Hakata region’s traditional culture. Launched in 2017 to provide tourists with an opportunity to experience the local culture closely, the Hakata Traditional Performing Arts Centre is located just across from Kushida Shrine, the local Shinto deity of Hakata. The facility also serves as the Hakata Kenban (geisha management office) and as a rehearsal area. Visitors can enjoy Japanese dance, folk dance, Hakata Koma and other traditional shows several times a month. See the Center's event calendar for more details.
