Taking a relaxing tour of the town in a traditional cart pulled by an ox is an experience you simply can't miss when visiting Kagoshima's Izumi-Fumoto.
Just hop on board, and let the friendly, knowledgeable guide and their trusty ox take you through the town's old samurai streets on a 30-minute experience. It's worth mentioning that some animals can get a little tired towards the end of the day, so they may walk a little slower. It takes around 25 minutes to do the 1km-loop circuit, and you can then enjoy some tea and take commemorative photos wearing jinbaori (the sleeveless coat of a high-ranking samurai).
