Mt. Inasa

稲佐山

This mountain with an observatory has panoramic night views of the glittering Nagasaki city center, just across the bay. Mt. Inasa is a key landmark of Nagasaki, 333 meters above sea level. At the summit, there is a glass-enclosed observatory, accessible by ropeway from Fuchi Shrine. The mountain is accessible 24 hours a day, but the ropeway closes at 10pm. It is also possible to hike to the top. In spring, the views over Nagasaki are embellished with bright pink azaleas that bloom on the mountain.
